Battleship USS Iowa Museum to Host First Annual Veterans Day Celebration In San Pedro, CA | The Event Will Feature A Special Program For Veterans, Live Music, And Food
Pacific Battleship Center, the 501c3 nonprofit organization that operates Battleship USS Iowa Museum and the future National Museum of the Surface Navy, will host the inaugural Veterans Day West event aboard the historic battleship in San Pedro at the Port of Los Angeles. One of the largest Veterans Day events in Southern California, Veterans Day West will recognize and celebrate the service of all who have served in the armed forces.


The family-friendly event will include a one-hour formal Veterans Day program followed by live entertainment, food and an extensive veterans resource fair featuring 40 tables and exhibits with vendors showcasing a wide variety of products and services for military veterans of all ages.
Veterans West at Battleship IOWA has partnered with the Marine Corps League to be a drop location for Toys for Tots so attendees are asked to consider bringing an unwrapped gift to donate.


In addition to Vicky’s Doghouse, Battleship IOWA’s new outdoor gourmet hot dog kitchen located on the fantail of the battleship, Ken Dobson Memorial Food to Life (F2L) Meals on Wheels affiliate will be serving gourmet pizza at the resource fair.


The event complies with Los Angeles County COVID guidelines and all Los Angeles County COVID protocols will be followed.

Attendance is FREE.  Parking is free for the first hour and $2 for each additional hour with a maximum of $19 per day.
