U.S. Mini Open At FigAt7th Celebrates the 121st U.S. Open at Torrey Pines - Enjoy The Experience June 17th - June 19th
NBC Sports announces the opening of an all-new, immersive golf experience, the U.S. Mini Open at FIGAT7th, located in the expansive marketplace in the Financial District of Downtown Los Angeles, June 16th-19th. Each of the nine holes at the U.S. Mini Open have been designed to pay homage to the 121st U.S. Open, which will be presented across NBC, GOLF Channel and Peacock from Thursday, June 17-Sunday, June 20.
The 2021 U.S. Open is being contested at the fabled Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, which is hosting the championship for the first time since Tiger Woods’ 2008 playoff victory. As the world’s top players — many of them fathers — aim to win the U.S. Open on Father’s Day, 90 miles north in DTLA, the U.S. Mini Open is a one-of-a-kind Southern California attraction for golfers at every skill level.
Course concepts at the U.S. Mini Open, designed by multi-disciplinary artist and star of NBC’s “Making It,” Floyd A. Davis IV, reflect those of legendary Torrey Pines, including the distraction of hang gliders and parasails teetering over the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Amid sand and water traps, the course also features representations of the torrey pine, rarest of all pine species and only found along the coastal waters of La Jolla and San Diego. The U.S. Mini Open salutes fathers everywhere. This Father’s Day, forego the customary tie and punny golf-themed card wishing pops a “tee-rific” day. Treat dad to nine challenging holes at the U.S. Mini Open before heading over to enjoy the many curated dining and shopping experiences FIGAT7th has to offer. While there, be sure to check the leaderboard to see who is in the hunt to win golf’s richest purse.
The opening round of the U.S. Open is June 17 with the final round played on Father’s Day, June 20. Catch all of the action across NBC, GOLF Channel and Peacock.
