The Pushing for Pink Breastival Teamed Up With Guess Originals For An Outdoor Skateboarding Pop Up In DTLA

On Sunday, October 24th, skateboarders, and LA locals came together at Lot 5 which is located at the GUESS? Inc, HQ in DTLA for the Breastival celebration put on by Pushing For Pink in collaboration with GUESS Originals. GUESS Originals, a division of GUESS?, Inc. and spearheaded by Brand Partnerships Director, Nicolai Marciano, presented this full day pop-up festival along with the Pushing for Pink founders, Gary Rodgers and Mathew Matthews.

Rodgers and Matthews founded their non-profit in 2015 as an attempt to nurture the growth of breast cancer awareness and philanthropy among young adults, while creating a community to celebrate loved ones who have won, lost, or are currently battling breast cancer.

The Pushing for Pink Breastival was open to the public, offering attendees food and drink, live music by Blondie Beach and Bella Ferrada, a skatepark, and an auction hosted by Gary Rodgers.

The outdoor activation had the support of other brands including Thrasher. Attendees were able to shop shirts, wheels, skateboards, enamel pins, and shoes, in exchange for donations. A portion of the proceeds made at the event is being donated towards women, men and families affected by breast cancer.
