The Plus Me Project Is Looking To Connect Empowering Storytellers To LA's Youth For The Return Of Wisdom Week
Youth mental health has declined. According to the CDC, the proportion of mental-health related pediatric visits among teens has increased approximately 31% since before the pandemic began. Confined to virtual classrooms, building community and culture is a difficult – nearly impossible – challenge.
Sharing our stories matters now more than ever.
The PLUS ME Project activates the art of storytelling for LA youth. They are dedicated to building communities filled with courageous voices whose stories are heard, valued, and celebrated. With this vision, the team is excited to announce the return and expansion of our 100 Volunteers, 100 Stories program!
PLUS ME is currently recruiting volunteers for our first campaign of the year: Wisdom Week! During the week of 9/20/21 – 9/24/21, we will place these relatable role models in virtual classrooms to inspire LA youth by sharing their stories and life lessons.
