Ken Karagozian's Deep Connections Photo Exhibition Showcases Decades Of Metro Development

Powerful Images by Artist Ken Karagozian Document Nearly 30 Years of Metro Subway Construction

“Deep Connections,” a new photo exhibition featuring the otherworldly black and white images of artist Ken Karagozian, is now on display in the Passageway Art Gallery. For the first time ever, Gallery images will also be accessible online.

Karagozian’s intimate photographs chronicle a unique view of Los Angeles through the documentation of Metro subway construction over the last three decades. His dramatic images balance the humanity of the workers, the enormity of the machinery and the intricacy of the jobs in the complex underground of the Metro system of subterranean Los Angeles. Karagozian’s work brilliantly showcases the elaborate choreography happening beneath Angelenos’ feet in the unfamiliar environment of underground tunneling in the city.

While the large-scale images are accessible to those traveling through the iconic downtown landmark for essential business, Karagozian’s collection of stunning photography will also be presented in an online gallery on the Artwork page. To view the images Click Here.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a publication sharing more of Karagozian’s body of work documenting Metro subway construction (available in print and online).

Further details on publication to be announced on metro.net/art and on Instagram at @metro.art.la.
